Where we came up with the name
When we first touched the ground and learned how they call the beautiful trees around us, we knew straight away that the name BELALU (pronounced by the local people as Blalu) was the name we were looking for.
Belalu is the local name for one of the most commonly used trees for wood carving in Bali. It holds the official title as “the fastest growing tree in the world”, reaching a staggering 130 feet tall in just few years. Belalu Bali Boutique & Spa experience is built in harmony with the Mother nature and the almighty Belalu trees in the area.

From the very moment we set foot on this sacred land, we felt a strong energy connection to mother nature, intense admiration for its unparalleled beauty and reverence to God for creating this heavenly place.
The magic of this miraculous place is a true healing of the spirit, purification of the senses and finding the balance of yin and yang in us. Standing still in one place with the desire to meditate or remain alone with yourself makes you feel how you merge with nature – the river in front of you, the birds, the trees in the jungle and most of all, the spirit of Bali, the sensation that you are in Bali.

Our dream while creating Belalu Bali was to help you shut off from your everyday life and feel the tranquility and purifying energy of this place. To touch every temple, each statue, each tree and flower that we planted with love. The building of Belalu Bali is still going on today as a continuous process of finding the balance within ourselves and with nature.
